Tea Tree
Melaleuca alternifolia
A narrow-leafed paper bark, Tea tree is one member of an extensive botanical family that has glandular dots in their leaves which, when crushed, release essential oils of varying amounts and constituents. Totarol

Totara trees can live up to 1000 years due to the naturally occurring Totarol, as it helps to protect the tree from microbial attack and rot. A white, inert mineral which acts as a natural UV filter and is active against UVA and UVB radiation.
